Hello, from Shajon
« on: March 11, 2008, 02:55:49 PM »

My real name is Shelia, not to confuse anyone, but I may refer to myself as Shelia as often as I do Shajon.

Once upon a time, I was just a band mom looking for a place to talk to other band people, but I bought the place from the nice guys who started it as a sports forum and now own the site and have decided to expand its horizons once more.

I am a former high school English teacher, but I also taught history and biology. My kids were both in band in high school.  Music is one of my favorite things! I have worked with kids professionally and as a volunteer, with the scouts, with the local band boosters, and as Sunday School teacher for too many years to count, but my kids (one son and one daughter) are grown now and I have time to explore and express my other interests.

I have a blog on here, too.  I plan to get back to it after a long dry spell.

I am hoping other folks will find this site an online home for making friends and expressing themselves.

Welcome!
